About

Hi! Juri here but most call me Lilly.  I suppose it really depends on when and where we met.  My folks call me Juri as it is my legal name and everyone else well, they call me by the other.

So you my dear friend may call me Lilly!

I'm 28 years old and live in New York City with my husband Jon and my troublemaker pup Mochi, where we try to live as simply and modestly as possible.  I heart all the simple pleasures life has to offer: food, beauty, cooking, design, and basically anything creative and easy on the eyes.

Jon and I were married this year on the most perfect Sunday in a beautiful traditional village in South Korea.  We first met about five years ago and I knew he was different from day one.  You know the saying, "When you know, you know".  Jon works his dream job as a set lighting technician.  He's a bit of a television/film geek.  Besides the types of food we like to eat, we really don't have too much in common.  I mean we both like video games but, not at all the same ones.  Same goes with music, telly, and just about everything else.  As insane as it may sound, it's our differences that keep us together.  We learn something new and interesting about each other everyday.  Quite entertaining actually.

Having married Jon is the best thing that's happened to me.  Our union has made my life more adventurous and so full.  It made me want to be a better person, striving to be a supportive wife and a soon to be mom.

I was raised Catholic in sunny San Diego by my grandmother and great grandmother until 9th grade while my mother was away fending for our little family.  My mother eventually made it back to California and I managed to make it through high school with my mother on my back.  We then moved to the east coast, jumping through New York, Connecticut, then back to New York again.

Which leads us to the now...

My life has changed a lot since then.  I couldn't have even imagined being where I am 12 years ago.  Through all the ups and downs, I can only say that i've lived my life with no regrets.  My tale, though far from perfect, is my own and honest.

I'm so happy that you've made it this far and are interested in taking a glimpse into my so-called life and thoughts.

Enjoy!
